Consulting at the institute

Advising of prospective students and students of psychology as a teaching subject in the model trial of tiered teacher training and in studies according to the Teacher Training Act of 2009 (LABG 2009) as well as advising of students with psychology as a minor subject.

Consultationhours: Personal consultations on site are currently not possible. Please first describe your consulting concern to me by e-mail. If it is not possible to address your concern via email, a phone appointment or Zoom meeting can be arranged.

Dear students,

The mentoring team Psychology offers in addition to the counseling by mail a video counseling by Zoom. Please register by mail with your preferred time until the day before (!) The current counseling team consists of Dustin.

In principle, the counseling service can also be offered digitally, as well as by appointment outside of office hours! Room: R.2.222A - EF50

Currently, the following regular office hours take place:

  • Dustin: Mondays 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Dustin: Mondays 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm Digital Office Hours!
  • Dustin: Tuesdays 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Alina: Wednesdays 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Alina: Thursdays 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm Digital office hours!

Advice on general study-related topics

The Dortmund Competence Center for Teacher Education and Teaching/Learning Research (DoKoLL) provides advice on general questions about the teaching profession. For subject-specific questions about the individual modules, the subject advisors will help you further as well as the lecturers of the courses.

The Central Student Advisory Service (ZSB) provides advice on general questions such as the range of courses offered as well as on application and enrollment.

General Student Advisory Service

The Psychological Student Advisory Service is part of the Central Student Advisory Service. A team of psychologists with further training in behavioral therapy offers support in developing coping strategies in difficult life situations and assistance in increasing the ability to study as well as satisfaction in studies. Seminars are offered but also a confidential free consultation.

Psychological study counseling

The Department of Disability and Studies (DoBuS) within the Center for Higher Education (zhb) aims to create equal opportunity study conditions for chronically ill and disabled students. Here, students as well as all teachers, organs and committees of the university are supported and advised in didactic, constructional, socio-legal and organizational matters. DoBuS provides knowledge, documents and techniques necessary for the successful completion of studies.
